Fibromyalgia Relief Oil Receipe

  • 3 Tbsp. carrier oil (grapeseed or almond oils work well)
  • 8 drops lavender essential oil
  • 6 drops rosemary essential oil
  • 4 drops clary sage essential oil
  • 4 drops chamomile essential oil
  • 1 drop peppermint essential oil

Mix the potion well and apply to areas that are tender as needed. Keep the potion in a small amber bottle for future use. Store in a dark place as essential oils keep the longest when kept out of direct light.

If you have been practicing  aromatherapy for awhile you most likely have quite a collection of essential oils. On the other hand, if you find that you do not have all the oils for the above recipe don’t despair. Following is a somewhat exhaustive list* of essential oils that are categorized by properties which may help you benefit from the healing affects of aromatherapy and give fibromyalgia sufferers some much needed relief. For instance, if you don’t have rosemary, you may use another antispasmodic it its place such as eucalyptus, this would serve as an adequate replacement for the above recipe. Keep in mind thought, that you might need to adjust the amounts of the essentials oils, as some oils are more potent than others are. In this case, you would want to use four drops of eucalyptus as opposed to six drops of rosemary.

*If you are pregnant, nursing, or have a history of high blood pressure, epilepsy, or estrogen-dependent cancer, consult your doctor before using essential oils. Some oils are safe with these conditions, but always do your research on oils you’re considering using. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
